a story of Southern agriculture

Welcome, Y’all!

Welcome to Beef & Sweet Tea, a blog about a cattle farm in the Southern U.S.

My Farmer and I are the 5th generation to operate his family’s farm.  Since the mid-1800s this land has supported family, beef cattle, hay and vegetable and flower gardens.  We are thankful for the opportunity to serve our country and the world through production agriculture.

We hope you’ll enjoy the valuable agricultural knowledge as well as entertaining rural stories here.  All images and text are produced by us unless otherwise noted.

NEW READERS:  Please proceed to our “About” page for more detailed introductions and for suggested starting points on the blog.

If you’re back as a regular visitor, always, thank you for your fellowship and conversation here.  Families in agriculture comprise less than 2% of the U.S. population.  We are fewer each year.  We appreciate your stopping by and visiting – it’s encouragement beyond.  Proceed to our latest blog posts and enjoy!  Thank you!
