Gift: Christmas in the Country 2013

When Jamie at This Uncharted Rhoade and Laurie at Country LINKed announced Christmas in the Country I was pleased and curious.  I had never done anything like it.

It was totally worth it.  An absolute delight.

I was assigned Lesley.  Lesley has a Facebook page, so if you’re on Facebook, you can get to know her there.  I am not on Facebook, so I didn’t get to stalk Lesley’s page…

…Jamie and Laurie did that for me!  LOL

And now that the Christmas in the Country link up is happening, you can get to know Lesley via the nice gift she sent to Tracy at Nebraska Wheatie

Here’s what I came up with for Lesley’s gift…

Christmas in the Country 13-1

A few bits of the South’s finest…and some tea…and some beef seasoning…

Christmas in the Country 13-2

Sorghum syrup…delicious on biscuits and pancakes and granola and…

Christmas in the Country 13-3

Lesley likes tea. My Farmer loves cherries. We’ve vacationed in Colorado and visited Celestial Seasonings in Boulder.
I was just feeling so many things coming together with this tea. ;o)

Christmas in the Country 13-4

Beef Breakfast Sausage Seasoning.
It’s from a recipe provided by the Beef Checkoff program. It’ll turn a pound of ground beef or venison into breakfast for ya…or breakfast for supper!

I adore pecans.

I adore pecans.

Arkansas Black apples. Developed in Arkansas in the 1800s. Grown at my local orchard in 2013. A good keeping apple. Great eaten fresh or cooked.
